In terms of education, since schools are located quite far from the Syuba they have made little progress. There is also a lack of awareness of the importance of pursuing higher education. Syuba children can speak Nepali properly only up to the age of eight and, because all the school curricula are in Nepali medium, they start their schooling at the age of 9 and 10 only.
Higher Secondary schools are located in every VDC in Ramechhap, but there are only two primary schools and one lower secondary school for the eleven Syuba villages, and in those schools only six Syuba teachers, all assigned to a temporary and nursery post/quota.
